The Genome Informatics Facility is a hub for expertise on the use of advanced sequencing technologies and open source software in biology research. Our mission is to make this knowledge accessible and easy to use for researchers and to provide data analysis services that help turn “big data” into insights that advance our understanding of biology and evolution. We strive to be a valuable resource for faculty, staff, and students as they explore the frontiers of genomics and bioinformatics.
There is a need to increase communication between bioinformaticians; consolidating our combined knowledge of scripts and pipelines to advance science. To meet this need the staff at GIF have developed a centralized resource of bioinformatics expertise. We encourage researchers to use these workbooks as a resource and welcome all bioinformaticians to contribute.
Let’s get you to the right Facility.
